The Good Fellow George

Our story only just started in mid 2020 when the world was a slightly confusing place.

The old Natwest banking hall on Canning Circus where our freehouse, the George sits today came on to the market just at the right moment for  long serving hospitality grafters Adam and James when a new challenge was needed.

The Good Fellow George public house was born.

Named after Royal fellow and previous prime minister George Canning.

The George specialises in connecting its customers with quality products and premium service in a relaxed traditional pub decor.

We have a great relationship with The Watered Garden who have worked with us to bring our bar to life with all of the glorious plants you see either hanging from the ceiling or sitting on a shelf, all of which you can buy from their beautiful shop in Sneinton market.

The Canning Circus area is famous for its quality watering holes; Blue monkey's Organ grinder, The Falcon and The Sir John Borlase Warren are all within a stones throw with the hand and heart, room with a brew and the Ragland road within a short walk. This end of town certainly makes for a very popular trail.
